The crossbody bag series’ pattern is inspired by the Qin-Han lacquerware in the museum’s collection. Hubei’s finds of Qin-Han lacquer are the most abundant of that period in China. These lacquer objects, richly varied in form and brilliantly colored, are unique blooms in the garden of Chu culture and jewels of China’s ancient art treasury.
