Round painted lacquer dish with phoenix pattern

Western Han Dynasty (206 BC–25 AD)

Unearthed in 1992 from Gaotai M28, Jingzhou.

Height: 6 cm; mouth diameter: 26 cm

Wooden core, made by hollowing forming. Inside painted with three phoenixes with pink bodies and golden-yellow eyes, weaving through ten cloud-dragons in dark blue and other colors.
