Painted lacquer Zhi (wine vessel) with stylized phoenix pattern

Qin Dynasty (221–207 BC)

Unearthed in 1975 from Shuihudi M11, Yunmeng.

Height: 12.3 cm, mouth diameter: 12.7 cm, bottom diameter: 11.3 cm

Wooden core, made by coiling forming. The single loop handle broken, and the lid lost. The outer bottom and inner bottom both branded with the character “Ting”.
