A set of earpick, toothpick, and tweezers, each with a gold ring at the end. The three items were commonly carried by people in ancient times, regardless of gender. By the Ming Dynasty, they gradually formed a fixed combination, commonly known as the “Three Essentials”(San Shier), usually tied to the corner of a Hanjin(a cloth used for wiping sweat).
