The concept of this work draws on theories of human evolution, incorporating simian forms as auxiliary motifs to underscore its thematic focus. Executed in sculptural Zisha techniques, the teapot adopts a highly expressive and symbolic form.The piece was created in the spring of 2010, using Huanglong Zisha clay sourced from Dingshu, Yixing, Jiangsu Province, an area renowned for its exceptional teapot-making tradition. It won the Gold Prize of “Hundred Flowers Award” of ChinaArts and Crafts in 2012.
