The design of metallic paint mug is based on the drumming motif on the “Mandarin-duck Shaped Lacquer Box with Dancing figures”. It is unearthed from the Tomb of Marquis Yi of the Zeng State in Hubei Suixian County, Hubei. The right side of is belly is painted with a drumming motif, on which the drums are set on an animal drum seat and another animal is beating the drum with two drumsticks. This lacquer box can be dated back to 2400 years ago and its beautiful patterns and special shape has made it a masterpieces of the Lacquerware of Warring States period.
