Qing dynasty imperial wares frequently took earlier ceramics as models. This beige-glazed bowl is an imitation of a Song dynasty Guan ware bowl with a similar beige glaze. Its exterior base bears the mark of “Made in the Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty.”
