Purple-gold glazed bowl

Kangxi reign (1662-1722), Qing Dynasty

Height: 5.5 cm, mouth diameter: 9.8 cm, bottom diameter: 4.7 cm

The purple-gold glaze, a high-temperature glaze produced at the Ding Kiln during the Northern Song Dynasty, was frequently imitated by the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln during the Qing Dynasty. The bottom of this bowl bears the mark “Made in the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty.”
