“Gen Mountain Diagram” is a section from the Daybook(Type A) of the Shuihudi Qin manuscripts, excavated from Yunmeng. It reflects a popular form of numerological taboo practice, with intellectual roots in the Book of Changes(Zhouyi). This Daybookconsists of one diagram and two passages of text. The diagram is drawn on bamboo slip No. 47 (recto 2) to bamboo slip No. 60 (recto 2), while the text is inscribed on bamboo slip No. 47 (recto 3) to bamboo slip No. 53 (recto 3).
